For Hospice
The Bewley’s family were Quakers and our company was built on the Quaker values of community, equality, honesty, fairness and integrity of character. Over 175 years later these values continue to guide us. Today the issues facing us may have changed but our belief in “good” business has not. We actively get involved in all the communities in which we operate because we believe we can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
Every year we support Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Hospice care all around Ireland. All money raised locally stays locally and goes directly to fund local hospice care services. With over 15 million cups of Bewley’s enjoyed over the last 27 years, we’ve helped raise over €37 million for hospice care nationwide.
Bewley’s is proud to support Junior Achievement, a national organisation which offers programmes designed to give school students an appreciation of the value of education, work and enterprise. Each year Bewley’s employees volunteer to teach these programmes in local primary and secondary schools. We were one of the first corporate supporters for the J.A. programme here in Ireland and have been involved for 20 years.
